Allie & Dan’s American Swedish Historical Museum wedding in Philadelphia was really fun to photograph. It started out as a gloomy day, but the rain held off for the most part and gave us plenty of time to explore the beautiful grounds outside the museum. The day began at the Loews hotel in Center City where Allie got ready for the day in a room with a gorgeous view of Philadelphia’s iconic City Hall building. After an Uber ride to the museum, Allie & Dan had a wonderful and emotional first look that would put a smile on anyone’s face.
About the Bride & Groom
Dan is from Philadelphia. Allie is from Virginia Beach. They met in law school at the University of Pennsylvania and had an instant connection. They actually had their very first date at their wedding venue. How cool is that! However I am particularly jealous of their Greek honeymoon that immediately followed the wedding.
American Swedish Historical Museum Wedding
The on and off rain throughout the day nixed any chance of having an outdoor ceremony, but thankfully the American Swedish Historical Museum has a beautiful indoor ceremony space as well as many individual rooms to explore and make great portraits in. Of course the grouds around the museum aren’t too shabby either. Definitely an awesome wedding venue! Allie & Dan featured many cool items like a personalized cornhole game setup outside the reception tent. Live music from the Bachelor Boys Band, including a special guest singing experience from Dan himself. And of course, cheesecake and fresh baked cookies!
