This American Visionary Art Museum wedding featured one of my favorite venues with one of my favorite couples. The American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) has tons of quirky, unique art and interesting spots. It rained all day, but no one cared. This wedding was so much fun to photograph!
About the Bride and Groom
From the moment I arrived at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, the positive vibes were palpable. Mallory and her friends were having a blast and immediately welcomed our team and made us part of the day. This gave us the chance to capture some truly great moments. Jeff was no different. It was easy to see what makes them such a great couple.
American Visionary Art Museum Wedding
After taking an Uber to the AVAM we met Jeff for an emotional first look followed by some very memorable bridal party portraits. Despite the rain Mallory and Jeff were able to have their intimate ceremony outside in the sculpture garden, but undercover and dry. Afterwards we did a brief photoshoot in the museum, capturing some great moments of the newlyweds among the various art pieces. During their reception the couple incorporated their love of travel throughout the site. Displaying photos of their many trips and featuring food from their favorite destinations. And of course there was some crazy fun dancing to finish off the night.
