Julianne and John’s marathon Little Italy wedding in Baltimore was truly unique.  Their unique marathon of a day featured an intimate ceremony, some touching toasts, including a surprise announcement, a surprise 2nd ceremony, great music, amazing food, and a creepy troll.  More after the photos!

Little Italy Wedding in Baltimore, MD

When Julianne and John first told me they were planning a surprise wedding, I wondered how the heck they were going to pull it off. They did it though, and it was fantastic!  The first ceremony was an intimate affair at St. Leo’s with a few family members and close friends.  Afterwards we walked a few blocks to Aldo’s for the “engagement party” where Julianne changed into her cocktail dress as they welcomed their guests to what they thought was just a fun party.  After a few great toasts from their bridal party, John announced to all their guests that they would be walking back to St. Leo’s for another ceremony so that he and Julianne could repeat their vows in front of all their guests.

After the 2nd ceremony the walk back to Aldo’s was led by the band for a New Orleans style second line.  The frigid temperatures didn’t diminish the fun in any way.

Once back at Aldo’s the amazing food, dinner and dancing lasted deep into the night.  It was one of our most memorable weddings to date.
